Underdeveloped & Overlooked Communities / Sustainability: I will work to ensure that overlooked communities such as Noble, Taylor, Severance and Superior are served and developed. I will ensure that development conversations start with sustainability in mind. As we seek to grow our community, we must also be accountable to our environment and future generations. We do this by encouraging our community to act responsibly and protect our environment. I believe the city can both educate and offer incentives to residents to keep our city healthy. Our cities facilities, our parks, new development and even our schools play a role in ensuring sustainability. I will ensure that is a key focus.

Equity and Inclusion: I will work to ensure that All are Safe, All are Represented and All are Served. I will do this by ensuring our Boards and Commissions reflect the diversity and talent of our city. I will work with our courts, police department, housing as well as other departments to ensure safety and equity in our community. I will ensure that the resources in this community can be accessed by all. I will engage with this community as well as many organizations within it to improve the lives of all.

Housing & Assistance: We need to rebuild our Building and Housing Department and pursue housing resources. Our city needs affordable housing, additional repair assistance for residents and many of our seniors would like to age in place. We need to attract new homeowners and offer existing renters a pathway to home ownership. Financial literacy is key to this. We can partner with organizations to come and help residents become homeowners. These programs strengthen our communities and offer much needed opportunities for our residents. We also need to tackle the influx of out of state landlords that are taking over communities.
